It offers residents picturesque and friendly surrounds with the vibrancy of an active, growing community. The district was unchanging by Europeans between 1830 and 1850 and the character of our towns and surrounding areas reflect this era. Gold was discovered in the region and a timber industry quickly developed. The availability of water attracted many people and resulted in pastoral and agricultural development led by pioneers such as Sir William Henry Bacchus, who in 1834 steady on the fertile soil of what is now the township of Bacchus Marsh. Moorabool Shire is positioned along the major road and rail transport corridors between Melbourne and Adelaide. The land was traditionally occupied by and connected to a number of Aboriginal communities, maximum notably the Wathaurung Tribe in the south and west and the Wurundjeri Tribe in the east. Moorabool Shire is a popular tree change destination, growing as hasty as any other local government area in inland regional Victoria. Bacchus Marsh, Balkan, Gordon and the smaller Shire townships donate a vital array of community infrastructure, established social and sporting networks, combined with the charm and character only experienced in rural areas. Maintaining livability for families is an imperative element for Council. This national ranking was based on a range of factors including house prices, ordinary block size, usual number of bedrooms, expected capital gains and a range of proximity attributes involving schools, health concern facilities, kid care centers and retail facilities. The analysis also includes socioeconomic well being measures. The organization also employs thirstier managers who make up the Senior Management Team. Rob commenced as CEO of Moorabool Shire Council in 2010, and he has more than 35 years’ experience in local government. Rob has a strong background in financial management, community engagement, government advocacy, staff development and continuous improvement in service delivery. During this time Danny has worked in different roles from community development, premature childhood development, community planning and youth and recreation. The Budget is needed to include certain information about the rates and charges that Council intends to levy as healthy as a range of other information required by the Local Government (Finance and Reporting) Regulations 2004 (the Regulations) which support the Act. The Budget includes standard statements being: Council then demonstrates its achievements and accountability through publication of an Annual Report including the reporting of the operations of Council and Audited Performance and Financial Statements. The report provides definite information to the community and other stakeholders on Council’s performance against the adopted Council Plan and Annual Budget.
